Microsoft Surface

Microsoft is releasing their innovative interactive surface tables that allow users to experience a new way to interact with media. The surface of the table is representative of an LCD screen that allows for multi point touch interaction. Users are able to transfer files from their mobile devices, credit cards, and online by setting the physical device directly on the table. After a few seconds the device information loads on the screen and users are able to drag and drop files through the touch screen interface. The product has been available on demo for the product in a few sites but Microsoft plans to release it for commercial use this spring.

Pepper Spray on Steroids

Featured on Wired Magazine the Avurt IM-5 is unlike any typical personal protection device. This pepper spray gun is equipped with a laser sight and five vomit rounds of nitrogen propelled pepper pellets. With a range of 40 feet, the perpetrator will be stunned in their tracks.

Whether it is U2 selling their music on a limited edition iPod or the option to pay your own price for the Radiohead's latest album each band is coming with creative strategies to get their fans to support their compositions. Matchbox 20 is taking it a step further charging $35 for a USB wristband loaded with their "Exile on Mainstream" album and other media.

Antibacterial Clothing


Functional clothing is finally becoming trendier. Recently, Olivia Ong, a fashion design student at Cornell, created two outfits out of antibacterial fibers. One outfit is a dress that is composed of antibacterial nanotechnology. This outfit increases the wearer's defense against the common cold and flu. Her other design serves as a filter that clears out smog other harmful gasses.
